My name is Samantha Miller. I’ve been studying Gayogoho:nǫˀ for six years. I have my Early Childhood Education diploma and worked at Six Nations Daycare for twelve years teaching Gayogoho:nǫˀ to children aged 6 months to 5 years of age. I started at Dwadewayęhstaˀ Gayogoho:nǫˀ as a student in 2013. I learned so much and wanted to keep going. I was lucky as I was able to continue my studies here at DG until 2016. I helped teach several night classes alongside other Dwadewayęhstaˀ alumni. I went back to teaching at daycare and briefly at school. I started working at Dwadewayęhstaˀ Gayogoho:nǫˀ in October 2017 as a Teacher Assistant. I really enjoy working here at DG with staff, students and our fluent speakers. I learn something new every day about our language and ways. Learning Gayogoho:nǫˀ can be challenging, but we must keep on pushing forward because our language is who we are as Ǫgwehǫ:weh people.
